In the 1990's for example, being multitimbral was if not more important than the number of polyphony notes that could be played, because 16 channel MIDI was still a standard requirement on synths of the day. Now we have primitive pre 1984 synths that are just as expensive as they were back in the 1980's coming out like they are something new.... but hay that's another discussion topic Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
