A playback-only card, Digigram PCX22, provides a basic feature set that includes 24 bit converters, balanced analog and AES/EBU or SPDIF output, an external AES/EBU sychronization input, and a headphone jack. This card is a worthy successor to the PCX20, which is widely deployed in radio stations and other mission-critical installations around the world.
PCM playback (decoding) is at resolutions of 8, 16, or 24 bits and the PCX924 can record (encode) at 8, 16, and 24 bits.
When using applications based on the Digigram np SDK:
Real-time mixing of multiple sound files, level adjustment, panning, cross fade, punch-in/punch-out, scrubbing, format and frequency conversions, time-stretching and pitch-shifting are performed on the DSP.
Multiple applications may share the resources of a single card.
Analog output may be configured as one stereo or two mono channels.
Interboard synchronization is possible for operation of multiple PCX cards in one PC. Up to 16 stereo hardware inputs and 16 stereo hardware outputs can be managed simultaneously across multiple cards in the same PC.
